Our final Board meeting of the current year (we run April to March) took place last week… with a fantastic group of trustees from Zambia, Nigeria, the USA, and Europe who continue to provide me with incredible support, challenge, and guidance!
It was an opportunity to reflect on the learnings and impact delivered for the communities we support, in what’s been a particularly challenging year in global health, and the world more generally.
Using our smarter, preventative healthcare solutions with government and local partners:
📲 We’ve now provided essential screenings, monitoring and education to over 175,000 community members across countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
➡️ Over 30,000 at-risk patients have been detected early and referred for essential care at health centres or within their communities.
🏥 With over 80% of higher risk patients receiving the vital follow-up care they need so far.
But I’m impatient. There is so much more we need to do, with much greater pace and scale, to reach the millions in need who are still experiencing illness and losing their lives to preventable causes.
This is the big focus for us as we start our New Year.
