New Year reflections from our CEO Rich Bryson
Like many of you, I took some time over the New Year to reflect – looking back at our progress and impact across 3 new countries over the past year.
I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions any more (my wife still mocks me for the year I decided on 1st January I was going to become an expert in quantum mechanics and bought a small library of books on Schrödinger’s Cat… progress was limited).
What I do try to do is reflect on learnings from our Foundation’s community health work, so we can keep improving our impact in 2026 – and better support the community members and health workers you see on the top row of the montage.
One reflection that’s really stuck with me is how vital it is to keep strengthening the virtuous circle between health education and screening in communities. We train health workers to use Clinitouch for both – and both matter equally.
💡 Education increases uptake of screening.
📲 Screening helps identify who is at risk.
🏥 And education means those identified as at risk are far more likely to attend referrals, complete treatment, and share that experience within their communities…
You can’t have effective screening without accessible education – and education without screening rarely leads to action.
Doing both brilliantly, together, is what drives real, lasting health impact.
Wishing you all a healthy and impactful 2026 🧡
